Time for a Reboot

This blog needs a reboot.  I've decided to just write about whatever I am currently "into".  This could be books, TV shows, movies etc.  I grew up on a steady diet of the following things in no particular order:

Star Wars, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Blazers, J.R.R. Tolkien, Choose Your Own Adventure books, Heavy Metal music, Joel Rosenberg's Guardians of the Flame series, Lawrence Watt-Evans Ethshar series, He-Man, Conan the Barbarian, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Watchman, Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, Indiana Jones series, Star Trek:TNG, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

There are plenty more but I think you get the idea.  I was and continue to be a nerd of the highest degree.

Role Playing Games: My Childhood Love

I have always loved role playing games. When I was a youngster in the early 80s, I played tons of Dungeons & Dragons (both Basic set and Advanced). The artwork was so evocative and I loved all the old TSR artists. There seems to be a huge resurgence of old school Dungeons and Dragons and its ilk. My favourite gaming blogs are currently Grognardia and LoFP.
